MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

What sort of person are we looking for?

We want Spectre Analysis to achieve an excellent reputation locally; in order to do this we must be seen as a professional paranormal organisation and to achieve this we expect our team members to respect this also.

Of course we want to know if you are going to be BRAVE enough and SCEPTICAL enough to be a member? If you believe in fairies at the bottom of your garden or that the Royal family are infact Aliens from anthoer planet (mmm, may be some truth in that one) were not the group for you. We are at the end of the day looking at the field of the paranormal from a science based approach. We will be asking you to QUESTION EVERYTHING you experience on an investigation and not to assume that all your experiences are REAL phenomena, most can be put down to environmental factors and orbs found in digital photography are infact dust, not ghosts.

You can also appreciate that we spend a lot of time in the dark. If your uneasy and nervouse about the suggestion of being in a 'possbile' haunted place then maybe this pursuit is not for you. We need you to be able to keep your composure in these situations.

We will also want you to be pro-active in our group, by keeping an eye open for possbile locations while out on your travels, organise a location (please read p0int 3 below), and do a little research (we all love doing this its great fun).

Some of our locations may be set out doors, so you will need to be agile and generally fit and not scared to get wet or muddy.

Brilliant, if you have got this far then your deffinately interested.

First thing we need to do is arrange a get together for a chat, so please use the email link on our main blog page where we can then arrange a date for interview.

On your interview we will obviously need you to answer a few questions, and assess your abilities ‘in the field’. To see if you have what it takes to become a member of the SA team, we will place you in a ‘real’ haunted location to monitor how you get on. We will also answer any question you may have, After the assessment we will then give you the ‘thumbs up’ or ‘down’ as to weather you passed the induction. You will then be in training for 6months.

Spectre Analysis General Club Rules and Information

All our team members need to show the ability to stay objective, calm and show some scepticism. We are at heart adopting the scientific approach to our work, so, if you believe in fairies at the bottom of your garden then we are not the group for you. The existence of ghosts has not been officially proven (that’s what we are trying to do). Investigators need to adopt the 3Q’s (question, question, and question again) and try to eliminate other factors before they come to a conclusion that what they have experienced IS, in fact paranormal.

2. Location, location, location!

As a member we will want you to keep your eyes and ears open when you out on your travels for any possible location to investigate. Most people (if you approach them in the right manner) are usually very welcoming to any enquiries you may have on paranormal goings on, on their property / establishment. Don’t be frightened to ask - the worst they can say is "no".

3. Yes Sir that’s my baby?- If you do get a ‘THUMBS UP’ then you will be responsible for liaising with the client (and ourselves), organise an interview and investigation date and of course do some research. We want everyone to get involved and play a part in organising locations this way the responsibility doesn’t fall on one person's shoulders.

4. NEVER Investigate any location alone

This is an absolute NO NO. Of course in order to find a haunted location you may want to survey areas yourself, that’s fine, and its great fun, but please DO NOT do it alone. A lot of common haunted places include cemeteries and old buildings, which are well off the beaten path and in bad shape. You need at least one other person with you so you don’t get lost, and to have someone there to help in case of injury, or in the event that you encounter paranormal phenomenon, another team member will be a second witness.... even if you’re both scared to death, you will at least have someone to be scared with!

5. Private Land / Property

If a location is not classed as public land try to obtain permission to investigate the location before arrival. Private property signs must be obeyed and respected. The law is the law after all.6. No Alcohol Allowed Before or During an Investigation No alcohol is allowed on any investigation. This will cloud judgment and put others at risk or even injury. We need clear headed investigators on investigations not inebriated ones.

6. Insurance and Injury

We are always very careful at investigations, but accidents do happen but at the moment we do not have PLI (Public Liability Insurance). This means that you undertake events with Spectre Analysis at your own risk and SA will not be liable for any injury which you occur when you are on an investigation. We are at present pursuing avenues for PLI Insurance. If you are concerned about this at all, you may wish to think of taking out a personal accident insurance of your own.

7. Travelling cost

We expect people to share the responsibility and petrol cost of the driving if at all possible. We try to keep investigations as local as possible so this cuts down driving time. We do from time to time go further afield in which case overnight accommodation is taken into consideration. This may be camping, B+B, Youth Hostel or travel lodge accommodation. But we try to keep the costs down as much as possible.

8. Equipment

There is no club bank of equipment to use. All of the equipment used on investigations is the personal property of each individual member, if you use a piece of equipment owned by another member and you damage it, have the respect to replace it or get it repaired, but also bare in mind that equipment such as cameras and Handy cams cost a lot of money so think before you use it - or buy your own.

9. Behaviour

A BAD reputation is something we DON’T want. Any team member who continuously fools around, and shows no common sense will be asked to leave the Spectre Analysis team.

10. Meetings

Meetings will be set up as and when is required. We hope you will enjoy being a member of the Spectre Analysis team. Don’t forget if you need help…. Just ask, we don’t bite….unless it’s a full moon!
